AKAMAE edition 21. EXTENSIONS

This edition of straw bags explores flatness and curves, and the delicate corners constructing the volumes. With the craftswomen we invented a new technique of weaving which allows the baskets to be re-woven and extended with great freedom. It is as if the weaving could get another dimension. Classical oval and round bodies grow tall extensions just for audacious beauty. Sometimes orange or black underline the volumes. These are like wearable planets, a cosmic ring running around each form.
